We made it. Week one of summer camp is behind us. It has been a fun week. Everything ran smoothly and we are almost half way into week two. The kids enjoyed art projects led by Ms. Rachel. They enjoyed playing games in the gym. They also enjoyed hanging out w/ each other.
The middle/high school helpers did a pretty good job this week. It is a big adjustment for them to be helping instead of participating. "Fun Friday" was a little disappointing for some. We got "rained out" at the pool. The older kids were there maybe 10 minutes when the pool was closed for the thunderstorm.
They were very disappointed, but overall took it pretty well.
I was most impressed this week by some of the art that our kids made. Here is a little taste.
